Something In That Upper Room

Jesus said when He went away, the Comforter will come to you.

He will be your teacher and lead you into the truth. So go on down to Jerusalem, get together and pray.

And when you hear the wind you'll know the Spirits on the way.

II.

I'm telling you I don't know Him, Peter told that girl.

Then the rooster crowed and Peter cried for he had denied the Lord That upper room experience brought about a marvelous change.

Peter stood and preached in the name of the Lord and 3,000 souls got saved.

III.

Then Peter and John full of the power went to the temple to pray.

They saw that poor crippled man begging at the gate.

They said, “We ain't got no money, but we can help you anyway. We got something in that upper room, now rise in Jesus name.”

IV.

Now this all started way back then, there in Jerusalem.

Burning like a fire in the hearts of all his children.

It turned this whole world upside down when the Holy Ghost came through.

And He won't be leaving this old world till we go too.

They got something in that upper room they'd never had before.

God had lived in a temple, but He ain't there no more. He moved into the hearts of man at that very hour.

And this old world ain't been the same since he gave the church the power.
