I'll Win The War

I.

I fought many battles, in the service of the Lord.

Sometimes I get weary and foot sore.

But I tasted the sweetness of victory again.

And with Him until the end I will endure.

Though the enemy surrounds me, I'll just keep pressing on.

With the Lord on my side I'm secure.

Sometimes it may seem I've lost a few battles.

But I know that in the end I'll win the war.

II.

In the blackness of midnight, as the fire rages on.

Many have been wounded and scarred.

But I'll keep on trusting, till the conflict is no more.

For my God has kept me safe this far.

III.

Just ahead in the distance, I see faces all aglow.

Of comrades who've gone on before.

I can almost hear the voice of my captain, Welcome home, enter in forever more.
