Once a bird

That flew close to the sun

A sight awaits that bird

Saw the ashes

The clouds and dust

Fallen before our eyes

And the western wind would cry

Then comes the fire

Then comes the storm

Then comes the bleak lights of morning

And the simple truth will dawn on you

In stark white feathers

A king's getting ready

Like a lighthouse in his eyes

And you pray that you're right

You're right about everything

To be a king

A king of all life

Once a night

Soon taking over

Hand it over to the stars

Once the memories of long lost light

Leave it on to the night
