Battered and bruised, surprised that you’re breathing

I thought to myself you can’t take much more

Ended up in a hospital ward

This is not my bed, these are not my sheets

A bandage round my head, it’s there to stop the bleed

Beaten worse than before, It’s all my fault

My demons keep me company they’re the reason I’m like this
