Lyrics

Well, once again it's Christmas, In this little house of ours. Time to see the family, Even the ones that live on Mars. First one over is Grandma, To spread the Christmas cheer. After an hour or so, She falls asleep by the door, And drops her teeth in her beer. It's Christmas time at our house, It's like this every year, Nothing seems to go quite right, But it's all for Christmas cheer. Next to come is Aunt Faye, Cousin Sue and Uncle Jack. The fitness nuts and yuppie types, With the skis on the roof rack. Aunt Faye goes on an eating binge, And Sue plays with the cat. She pulls on his tail, He claws with a wail, And they swear they aren't coming back. It's Christmas time at our house, It's like this every year, Nothing seems to go quite right, But it's all for Christmas cheer. After all the people leave, It's just me, ma and pa. We sit around the fireplace, And talk of what we saw. Nothing seems to phase us now, The worst is now long gone. I smile and laugh, Give the cat a pat, And start to sing this song. It's Christmas time at our house, It's like this every year, Nothing seems to go quite right, But it's all for Christmas cheer. It's Christmas time at our house, It's like this every year, Nothing seems to go quite right, But it's all for Christmas cheer.
