I Shall Live

When I was a child I was on the verge of losing my life But God said no, yes he said no Cause I was sick And no doctor could find what was wrong All hope was gone, all hope was gone Then when my parents prayed God transformed my death into life I was created to serve and not die I shall not die, but I shall live And I shall proclaim what the Lord has done for me He may chasten me so severely But one thing is sure he will never give me over to death. So as I sing I want to lift the Lord's name on high Cause he saved me, yes he saved me And if I can breathe It's only because of his mercy So I am grateful, oh so grateful The Lord knew how much my parents would have cried He didn't have to but he let me live Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall not fear, I shall not fear Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me Cause thou art with me, I shall live, I shall live...
