I see the blind man with the white cane Trying to cross the street today I stand beside him I will help him If he cannot find his way hmmm I take his arms say; "Brother let me share my eyes with you" He turns my way and nods The light is green and I feel good We make it in the other side I shake his hand he smiles "God bless the man who helps me Walk another darkened mile" Help one man today Help another man tomorrow You can do it if you try You can make a blind man smile Help one man today Help another man tomorrow With the help and grace of God We can get this thing together I look into a picture magazine A starving child looks back at me His tiny crippled hands are clinging To his Mama's breast in agony hmmm The next door page yells out You can lend a helping hand Help us save a starving child Give us anything you can The voice inside my mind keeps Telling me if I can't give I am the sorry one I am the one who's suffering Help one man today Help another man tomorrow You can do it if you try You can save a starving child Help one man today Help another man tomorrow With the help and grace of God We can get this thing together.
