I tawt I taw a dolphin

Modern promise smeared over my eyes

The smoke tree’s hiding the scorpions

Poisoned picker thwarts place and time

What I would do to see you so soon

The yard rope slashed at the angels

Coming out of transistor radio green

You ate the worm, though it had gotten at your ankles

Now the kicker's not kicking as they’ve all gone out to seed

Here, in the brush

The pleasure’s crust comes clean

I shimmer

The dance of yesterday

Only comes back blurred and in the odd dream
