An unfortunate turn of events casts it's spell over this town Eyes sunken in our heads, maybe we'd be better off dead A blatant travesty has me falling to my knees with no way out They said time was on our side, I think I'd have to disagree They'll destroy your life my friend if you let them You'll spend all your days biting your lip They can't comprehend the lows that we live with But it sure pays off watching us slip Where is the happy end There's no way that we can mend all these fences They say that we'll endure, now how far from the truth could that be What the fuck were we thinking?
