Bad Dream

Your head was thrashing and shaking He'd wake me up in the night And if I am not mistaken You've had this dream a few times With the same cast of characters Same trapped hysteria Thank God you woke me and brought me back To life Then he'd hold me in his painted arms Like singing me a goodnight song Each time Oh I am trapped In another bad dream it would seem Interrupting my valuable sleep Being haunted is not for the weak I close my eyes only to find Double feature horrors Playing in my mind I'm trapped inside I should have made it to Tokyo Could have sworn my passport's in my bag (Are you serious? it isn't in here?) And then I'm stuck in a kitchen With every lost friend I ever had Then my dad knocks on the door I hardly see him anymore Our reunion's cut short cuz I've gotta go To another failing math exam But then a tooth falls in my hand And I drunk drive myself Right off the road Oh I am trapped In another bad dream it would seem Interrupting my valuable sleep I'm your haunted nightmarish queen My bed is cold I sleep alone No one to wake me Bring me back to home I'm trapped inside Reboot me bring me back to life These wires cross they paralyze me Can't make a sound But I'm crying out Won't someone please wake me now Rest assured, my rest's absurd I'm sounding out Can't make the words Oh I am trapped But I'm crawling out of this spell This one that I know too well My hair's a mess And I'm undressed A pool of sweat, I sink It's effortless Oh wake me up
