Christmas Breakfast

From our beds we go stumbling

Tummies a'rumbling

While snowflakes are tumbling down

We're setting the table

With spoons, plates, and ladles

As the family gathers around

There's waffle and sausage

You name it we've got it

Tea and coffee and spam

You can always have more

We've got Frosties galore

And buttered kippers all wrapped up in ham!

There's muesli with cream

And it feels like a dream

So much tasty Christmassy stuff

As we gather together

Nothing tastes better

And we've never eaten so much

It's the great big Christmas breakfast

The best meal of the year

And we won't open our presents

'Til all our plates are cleared

There's bacon, black pud

Those hot eggs smell good

In kitchens all over the land

There's crumpets and pikelets

And if you don't like it

You can pass your plate to yer dear old nan

There's shreddies and fruit and all kinds of juice

Fried tomata straight from the pan

Best part of the day

"Merry Christmas" we say

Then run back to bed as quick as we can
