I used to hate my voice

The sound of it

My singing voice, my speaking voice

I used to hate my voice

I can't really tell you why but, I did

and the older I've gotten the more I understand that

our areas of great insecurity are usually an indicator of where our superpowers lie

like, the room in the temple that is you

the room in which your intrusive voices set up camp

that should tell you what you're here to do for the tribe

and that's...

that's hard. Thinking about how to serve the tribe without a sense of self

this is why I speak so like,loudly and passionately about self cav and self love

I'm of the belief that good people..

when good people are selfish.. the world is better place

like, if you... if your departure point is making the world a better place

like, that makes you feel good

you know??

if. if. if showing the people you love makes You feel good

then surely your selfishness is a superpower for the community, right?

surely you serving you serves us and the people

so, I guess we just need more good people

but like, I'm a very big advocate for selfishness

and I think this is...

this is part of my qualm with religion

I mean, I have quite a few qualms with religion

do we have time for that? (laughs)

We're taught that self-sacrifice is the highest level...

the highest form of love

that's Christ-like love, right??

But. Wh.. How... how.. how can we be okay if I'm not?

how can the village be okay when I'm sacrificing myself

when I'm dying, when I'm burning, I'm disappearing

that doesn't sound right. that doesn't s.. nah

mark me absent. right?

So, I'm really big on us finding our voices and expressing ourselves

Learning self. Self cav. Self Love. you know?

Operating from a place of God being inside you

you know? The gratitude and the praise, the worship being poured into you

because you understand that God is inside you

That you are God!

Not in some vain, problematic way but just in a way where you really live in your superpowers

living in you, You know?
