Lyrics

How could we be trusted with the purity to see?
When eyes could be the nemesis, the one friend who deceives
Throughout life we shall witness the gruesome and the fair
And have to take us further up mirage's glary stair
And from there behold what's truthful and sincere
The unsharp lens has spoken
The lies could no longer hide
Not even in murky water
Where problems are lowered to die
A handful could sense the prediction
Few were enlightened with truth
No matter where he turned his gaze
The world in ruins
Up in the clouds he secretly hides
Kept distance away from the insanity
Down on the ground where the sheep followed directions
Of the madness that had sickened their minds
They had crossed all reasonable boundaries
Ethics and morality at war with greed
Evil weighed upon his soul
He had witnessed it all
Through the lens
Through the monocular lens
Trapped in the tower, observed the decay
He saw through humanity's sinful, insidious charade
Nearer they came to disrupt his retreat
He carefully followed the faceless sojourners beneath
Through the lens
Light as a lizard he's dancing forth
Fast through the haze, do not get caught
A valiant insurgent intervenes
Weaves the web of tomorrow's dream
Carries resistance in his thoughts
Planting seeds to change the plot
Places a trap where greed is spread
Tamper them to be misled
The ancient's den lies high above the hideous
He is looking down on a ruined land
And through his refined mechanic eye he sees how hope longs to return
A desolated hemlock rose
A once dead brook seeked paths to roam
A spark was lit in spheres of bane
And in the air, astonishing
The moment, the awakening
The falcon with the impaired wing
Was flying in the hard headwind
Resign to stay unharmed
Oppose and you shall fall
And Venus flared afar
To wither in the dark
Dissolve and fall apart
A trial no one had passed
In the shade of the morning star
Underneath the blackened scenery
Where earth's charred skin won't heal
Rests the iron-plated sentinel
A transcendent of the unreal
But what awaits you in its nest?
Submission to its ruthless grasp?
Further I can't see
Will I be strong?
Is there a place for us, a home?
When the sky falls and the tempter calls
I know where I belong
What's righteous and what's wrong
- Father, tell me what the world used to look like.
- I still remember the taste of apples, the way the green grass swayed in the warm summer wind. Rabbits and deer running through the forest where trees and bushes had flourished since the beginning of time. You could see the sky, the birds, the sun. But that's long gone. I wish you were there with me. But it's too late now.
With sadness deep within her heart
The procreator's words had scarred the vision of her guardian
They had seen them come and seen them try
They all had failed, pursuing their intentions of a prosperous life
Disfavored our own
Kindness they were shown
Instilled with relentlessness we became the sinners
We tread on these arid grounds
With our vacious minds
They stepped on us
Our words were hushed
But still we're standing
The ultimate test, you have entered its nest
Hear the harrowing sound, you brought it to life
It tossed you aside in the blink of an eye
A fight to survive with the stakes sky high
You didn't know much, nor did you care
Barely a wasted soul, prepared for the great farewell
It's approaching again
It will never give in
The vehement clash increases and lasts
With outstanding vigor he still stands
It's wielding its tail to leave all in decay
The viperous sabre is barricading the way
To liberation
To save the ones who remain
If you accept to die for this you can solve this dire quest
Memorize the luminant carving
Quickly exit, the cavern is falling apart!
Will the message be lost in the dark?
They accomplished the return
From the repugnant world
As abhorrence dispersed anew
Bestowed a panorama view
Of a land beyond repair
Still they were captives of their own world
In the wake of the morning star
A trial no one had passed
In the wake of the morning star
