Lyrics

Preacher Norris in the pulpit making big talk.
Says he tried to buy a remmy but they're out of stock.
The congregation shakes with fear and anger at the thought.
A young man tries to recite the pledge of allegiance but
He gets it wrong, somehow.
The words just keep spinning around.
The broken pledge an incantation to the devil himself.
They hear the fiddling of the one-time light-carrying elf.
He steps inside and is instantly recognized by the
Preacher who says “hey! I know that face! That’s my
Financial advisor.
(Welcome, sir, it's good to have you here.)
Come hear the word of the Lord."
The Devil plays a tune, an old thing.
The congregation nods, and some start to sing.
The chanting grows louder.
The young man stands up, the young man stands up
And points his pistol at the preacher, makes a point of it.
Shoots him dead right there on the pulpit.
The Devil vanishes, the dead preacher laughs.
And thanks him for his service.
A blessing from the Lord.
A blessing from the Lord.
