Mother Nature's Lullaby

Early this morning Mother Nature opened her eyes

And sunrise woke the breaking dawn

Higher and higher rays of sunlight reached to the sky

And wrapped the clouds with loving arms

Mother, she fills the Earth with beauty

Growing life with gentle hands

Trees and plants blossoming all across the land

Mother she has a sacred duty

Shaping the world with loving hands

There she stands with all of creation in her plans

Late in the evening Mother Nature

Beckons the sun to sleep and night to open wide

Lifting the moon, sprinkling the stars across the sky

To twinkle brightly side by side

Mother, she loves the little children

Sleeping so soundly in their beds

Resting heads, soft on their pillows

“Dream,” she says

Dreaming of kisses, hugs, and whispers

Children are smiling in their sleep

Breathing deep, all of their secrets she will keep
