My father once told me when I was young

That man and beast once roamed along

The expanse of beauty reflecting perfection

The earth was good, and all was well

And He said, son, you are born from this wilderness

We are born from this wilderness

The sunrise was clear and the moonlight was dear

As we lived in harmony, no enemies known

But in came the man that so desperately haunts me

To take what I have, naturally grown

Without his condolences, stripped me of pride

As I fell to the ground, He trampled my soul

And I though Man, are we not born from this wilderness?

A beast in the valley of the shadow of the trees

Isolated unimportant for the ignorant eye

But out of it's treading, out of it's stride

Grows another piece of life, Another piece of life

But the game of money, the feeding of the greed

Puts oil on the fire of the underlying need

To be king to be sire so quickly ranked higher

Than the giver of life, another piece of life

We are born from the same Wilderness

We are the voice of the Wilderness
