Six Doors

Did you see how the beloved, unaware of my heart,

Hunted me, took me down, and then abandoned me?

Seeing her beauty made me totally oblivious

And she was totally unaware of my oblivion.

She had an eye on me until I became her prey

And after that, she had no mercy to take another look.

She said she despised disloyalty, but she treated me with it,

She urged me for faithfulness, which she showed no trace of.

Her union slipped away, as there was no loyalty to contain it,

Her wound went deep into my heart, as my chest had no shield.

I heard that the garden of her presence was evergreen,

I went there, hoping to see her, but there was no door.

I thought maybe I could fly over the roof to see her,

Alas, the bird of my ambitions had no wings to fly.
