Seven An Hour

Wearing myself out for seven an hour

and I don't got a damn thing to my name

Missin' when it felt like I still had power

now it feels like I'm losing a game

I walk in at 7:00 and I clock out at 5:00

Come home and drink till its half past 9:00

listen to the radio man

just dronin' on as long as he can

Figure I'll quit one of these days

I don't know where I'll go

But that son of a bitch tries to dock my wages

I won't take it no more

He's trying to take me for all I am

I'm already so damn poor

Not too sure where I stand

But I'm headed out that door

Leaving behind everything I know

It really ain't much at all

Walkin' back home through the snow

Finally free and standing tall

I'll fire up that old GM

Head into the unknown

Rev up that old worn out engine

Let the road tell me where to go
