I look at all the angry faces Sad and gloomy, down and wasted Trying to smile through their eyes pasted On like saucers through their paces Looking down at Nike feet Made by kids with nowt to eat But crumbs dropped from the masters table Welcome to the life you lead This is the world that you live in This is the life you've been given This is all you've come to know Can you love or did you lose ya soul Noble sentiments and graces Replaced by ho's, guns, drugs and chasers Sisters dead inside and dumb Treated like they're just for fun And nothing matters Good people scatter Leave this hole inside its darkness Seek the Lord and get out sharpish Hollow eyes telling more lies On your TV as the world dies From war, pain and corporate crime From this shifting paradigm We are all each paying the cost Responsible for our great loss Of this world gifted to us As the Lord's blessing and love This is the world that you live in This is the life you've been given This is all you've come to know Can you love or did you lose ya soul Did you lose your soul?
