Adam Tas's Popular Music Videos
Artist Biography
In 2007, Pretoria alt-folk artist Adam Tas earned a mention in the Guinness Book of Records for playing 41 venues within 24 hours. It was a fittingly odd feat for someone who took an unconventional path to a music career. Born in 1981, this former game ranger taught himself how to play the guitar after being bedridden following a bicycle accident, and he went on to cut his teeth performing at local pubs before releasing his 2004 breakthrough album, My Memories In ‘N Menthol. Since then, Tas has crafted many deep, raspy-voiced songs in Afrikaans about the rural lifestyle, paid tribute to Johnny Cash on the 2016 covers collection 'n Tas Vol Cash, and continued to radiate his natural charisma on later songs like 2019's "Landbouweekblad" and 2021's "Die Spore Wat Ons Los."
